This is my snowflake this year:
My cloisonné-inspired snowflake is called "Flower." As I told Becky, I painted it when Robert was declining, while things like hope and happiness were not obviously in the landscape. Yet, even in those days, we were able to find bits of beauty and bittersweet joys. Those moments were like finding flowers in the snow.

Beautiful! It's so amazing to see how different and personal the various snowflakes are. This one is truly ....crap- the only word that seems right "graceful" and I don't mean that in a hokey play on your name- it really is graceful.
It's beautiful -- poignant, graceful, hopeful all at once. I half-hope I win it, half-hope it sells for so much that only a millionaire could afford it! Either would make me happy.

Your snowflake is just beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes to read your post. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I feel like part of your family because I read your books allll the time to my daughter. Life sure can be difficult. We would love if you could make the snowflakes to sell for everyone.
