snow

Robert's Snow is happening again and the support has been tremendous. I have not said much about this because I truly have no words to express the gratitude I feel.

This is my snowflake this year:

My cloisonné-inspired snowflake is called "Flower." As I told Becky, I painted it when Robert was declining, while things like hope and happiness were not obviously in the landscape. Yet, even in those days, we were able to find bits of beauty and bittersweet joys. Those moments were like finding flowers in the snow.

Grace, this is so beautiful. I'm such a big fan of your work...and so are my kids and my niece.

I don't think I can afford a snowflake but I will donate to Dana Farber this year on Robert's behalf.

Sending you good and nurturing thoughts.

Beautiful! It's so amazing to see how different and personal the various snowflakes are. This one is truly ....crap- the only word that seems right "graceful" and I don't mean that in a hokey play on your name- it really is graceful.

It's beautiful -- poignant, graceful, hopeful all at once. I half-hope I win it, half-hope it sells for so much that only a millionaire could afford it! Either would make me happy.

Your snowflake is just beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes to read your post. I am so sorry to hear about your husband. I feel like part of your family because I read your books allll the time to my daughter. Life sure can be difficult. We would love if you could make the snowflakes to sell for everyone. I would buy everyone in my family and all my friends one for Christmas. You are extremely gifted. Keep your chin up and know that you are thought of fondly by many. Sincerely, Lisa and Ella in NH
